URS Group, Inc. (URS), under contract with the Louisville District Corps Engineers, is attempting to locate former employees or persons with first hand knowledge of the following former sites: Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA) Site-90, Chicago, Illinois; Air Force Plant #52, Chicago, Illinois; Naval Storehouse Rockdale, Rockdale, Illinois; Air Force Plant #35, Washington Park, Illinois; and the Naval Reserve Center, Springfield, Illinois. The purpose of this search is to identify and interview individuals who have information regarding former activities or operations at any one of the sites listed above, specifically waste generation, storage, and disposal during operations under the Department of Defense or its Components.
URS is completing an assessment of these former sites in Chicago, Rockdale, Washington Park, and Springfield, Illinois. The purpose of the assessment is to determine whether releases of chemicals of potential concern and/or storage of waste, occurred while the property was under the Department of Defense jurisdiction and if those operations impacted human health and the environment.
